Blood in the Water

This game features heavy depictions of LGBT characters and same-sex relationships. The game is technically SFW, but contains many heavy themes such as: Homophobia, alcohol abuse, and mentions of blood and death. I would NOT recommend playing this game unless you are 18+.

Noland and Pierce have had a rocky start with their relationship, both being rather flawed people in their own ways… And with a mutual problem of chronic communication issues.

To make things even more complicated: a supernatural murder case spearheaded by a shady underground organisation looms over them. 

They live in a world where people, known as ‘Representatives’, are gifted with unique powers. And as such, things never go quite as planned, unexpected forces can cause things to unravel when you least expect it.

And it is yet to be seen if everyone will make it out alive.

About the game:

'Blood in the Water’ is a linear Romance/Mystery/Fantasy short visual novel set in the same universe as my other, currently on a complex hiatus VN: Pulled by Strings. Featuring characters and worldbuilding from that game.

Chronologically, it takes place a few years before Pulled by Strings. You could consider it a prequel of sorts.

Despite all this, this game is intended to be a separate experience from that game, and you can play the visual novel fully without any knowledge of Pulled by Strings. 

This game is going to be fairly small in scope, with roughly 3 chapters planned for the game. (Mostly so it can reasonably be finished.) The first build contains one of the three chapters implemented, with about ~100k words of content.

Also note this vn is NOT a dating sim: the game has a pre established couple from the get go, and this vn is about their pre-existing relationship. Don't expect to be able to pick your love interest.

This is primarily a passion project made by one person. All sprites, writing and coding is done by Final Bear/Final Universe. Updates will come whenever I feel like it.

All music used is royalty free/free to use non-commercially, full list of credits is found in game. All backgrounds used are Stock photos sourced from Unsplash, Pixabay or Pexels. No AI is or will be used in this project.
